Who are we:

Dedicated lay leaders who are interested in issues of poverty in
South Florida.

What we do:

Support and advance the work of SFIWJ by working in collaboration
with, yet independent of the clergy.

Actively engage congregations in the work of SFIWJ resulting in lay
leaders leading their own response to workplace injustice.

Distribute information concerning workplace injustice to
congregations.

Why is this important:

According to our values, the human being was created in the image
of God and is therefore worthy of respect and dignity in all aspects
of life.  Too often, low-wage workers are treated unjustly in the
workplace.  We need to involve faith leaders in serving as the
prophetic voice for the working poor.

Jean Souffrant, NSM Coordinator, is organizing this group.
