As people of faith, we believe that all human beings are created in the image of
God and are therefore worthy of respect and dignity.  330 workers at NSU were
facing unjust and inhumane working conditions.  After forming a collective voice
on the job, 108 workers lost their jobs.  The loss of an income is enough to
shake their family stability to is very core

A community group formed by different nonprofits in Miami Dade and Broward
counties has reacted publicly to the firings.  This group has staged protest, had
delegations to the university's trustees and administration.  SEIU Local 11 has
also filed charges with the National Labor Relations Board for unfair labor
practices.
