Volunteers: Faith In Action

SFIWJ needs volunteers for:

  • Office Work: Help us communicate with our members & keep the organization running smoothly by helping with data entry, phones calls to members, & mailings.
  • Activism: Encourage business owners & government leaders to treat workers fairly by joining in prayer vigils and rallies & informing people about problems that workers may be having.
  • Worker Education: Help SFIWJ reach out to workers to inform them of their rights by talking to workers at job sites, or, if you speak Spanish, Creole, or a Mayan language, by training workers on their rights at evening or weekend meetings.
  • Event Organizing: Help organize events such as SFIWJ's annual Labor In the Pulpits/On the Bimah/ in the Minbar series, Harvest Suppers, and other educational activities.
There are also various projects & groups with which volunteers can assist, including wage theft, farmworker issues, women's leadership, & more.

In the form below, please indicate what times you would be available and in what specific area(s) you would like to help SFIWJ.
