Students & Young Adults
we partner with the Student/Farmworker Alliance(SFA) in their
Dine with Dignity campaign. Dine with Dignity is a movement
towards fair food on college campuses.

SFIWJ is also working with the Farmworker Association of
Florida (FWAF) and the Farmworker Health and Safety institute
to provide pesticide training programs. These trainings are
geared towards creating volunteers who will form
relationships with health care providers who come into
frequent contact with farmworkers. The trainings will teach
volunteers how to recognize the signs and symptoms of
pesticide exposure, what the state and federal law is regarding
pesticide exposure, and practical ways in which health care
providers can recognize possible pesticide exposure cases.

If your campus is involved in Service Learning or Alternative
Spring Break (ASB), SFIWJ is always excited to welcome new
student volunteers.

If you would like more information regarding these projects,
please contact
Jeanette Smith.
